Audio Frequency Induction Loop Systems (AFILS) also known as the “Loop” has opened a world of hearing for people that suffer from hearing loss. How does it work?

The designated space will have wires in and around the floor or ceiling that transmits electromagnetic signals picked up via a microphone. They are transmitted to an amplifier that is connected to the wires around in and around the space. Cochlear implants, hearing aids, and other assistive hearing devices can be bought equipped with telecoils that pick up these electromagnetic signals specific to spaces containing the “Loop” system.
